Who We Are

 

As the name implies, Performance Improvement Network (PIN) was established to be a network of:

 

- Business experienced

- Highly qualified

- Globally dispersed

- Like-minded

 

consultants, trainers, coaches and researchers who are motivated to help organizations to improve their performance – particularly by developing and leveraging the cultural skills of their people.

- By “business experienced” we mean a preference for real-world international management experience, preferably in both large multi-nationals and small-medium national business and preferably at both senior management and front-line management levels – we like people who have “been there and done that”.

 

- By “highly qualified” we mean a preference for a theoretical base at Master’s level or higher in a relevant discipline. While most of our business is conducted in English, we have a preference for a command of at least one other language.

 

- By “globally dispersed” we mean that we seek to have associates in key locations – able to draw upon the collective expertise of the group to support clients globally.  We also have a preference for people who have themselves lived and worked in countries other than their own.  Many run their own businesses in their base countries.

 

- By “like-minded” we mean interested in producing value for organisations by finding ways to improve the performance of individuals and teams.  We operate in the real world of organisations; work, people, goals, stakeholders, budgets, targets.

Not everyone can live up to every criterion, though most do.  Some are stronger in hands-on business experience, some are stronger academically – all can call upon the expertise of others.  There is strength in diversity.
